The Unofficial Diablo 3 Forum: A Thriving Community That Refuses to Die

I recently ventured back into this ancient digital edifice, only to discover a surprising revelation. The unofficial Median XL forum has managed to sustain a more active community than my own Skyrim projects, which cater to a significantly larger audience. In fact, the forum's activity level surpasses that of my own Skyrim mod pages. This remarkable community has its roots in a Geocities site, which was rebuilt using technology from 2005. Despite being built so long ago, people are still actively playing the mod to this day. As you browse through the forum, please be aware that some formatting may be broken due to its age. I would like to extend my gratitude to aahz for hosting the site after HugeLaser's shutdown and to HugeLaser itself for maintaining it for so many years.

Unfortunately, the removal of TCP/IP and open protocols, along with the fact that private servers are now considered a DMCA violation, has effectively killed off multiplayer mods for Diablo 2: Resurrected. As a result, most mod authors are unlikely to port their creations to the remaster. Median XL will not be compatible with D2R, neither in its current form nor in the latest community version.

As we await the release of Diablo 2 Resurrected tomorrow, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to aahz for keeping this site alive all these years and to Marco and the rest of the Median XL community members who continue to develop and improve the mod.
